JEDDAH, 14 April 2007 — A Turkish barber was not expecting to be beaten by a macho Saudi customer when he applied cream to his face after giving him a shave. Hussein Abu Ali, 29, said he applied the customary cream after shaving the Saudi man’s face. “I was surprised when the man shouted at me, saying such creams are used by women, I am a man,” he said, adding that the man flew into a rage, beat him up and began smashing his barbershop.
